Pat Summerall Award

The Pat Summerall Award was the created in 2006 after Ocean 2 Ocean Productions President Cheryl DeLeonardis honored the legendary broadcaster at the inaugural Legends for Charity® Event in Jacksonville during Super Bowl XXXIV.  With overwhelming support for an event honoring the Voice of The NFL, the award was created with the blessing of Pat and Cheri Summerall.

Since the inception of this prestigious award and under the sole direction of Cheryl DeLeonardis, this event has grown to become the cornerstone event during the biggest weekend in Sports.  It continues to be the only event held annually at the NFL Headquarters Hotel.

Cheryl deeply cherishes the longtime partnership of her charity partner, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This dinner allows her to continue to showcase the miracles performed everyday at St. Jude and unite the charity with Sports Legends from both the NFL and Broadcast World.

Cheryl has successfully secured some of the top names in the Sports Industry to lend their name to the Honorary Committee and support to the Legends Dinner.  With the complete trust of the Summeralls, she has continued to build this event to honor some of the biggest names in the broadcasting industry.  The award has become one of the top honors bestowed to a sports broadcaster.
