A Night in Roma

In May 2011, Cheryl created a vision of Mulberry Street inside the Arena at The Don Taft Center located at Nova Southeastern University to benefit The Tony Segreto Athletic Scholarship Fund for the Department of Athletics.  Under her guidance, an indoor Italian Festival was created with the local Italian restaurants lining her version of Mulberry Street.  The aroma of meatballs, pasta, antipasto, pizza, stuffed peppers, and cannoli’s accompanied by donations of high end Italian wine and beer filled the arena with an aura of a true Italian Feast.  She complimented the theme with two musicians playing and singing Italian songs, two lounges on each side of the stage with televisions playing both The Godfather and Goodfellas and a Caricature Artist for the guest to have their picture made.  In addition to everything else, two indoor Bocce Courts surrounded by a park theme were one of the highlights of the evening for attendees.

Circle of Champions

In 2002 Cheryl created the Circle of Champions, a national event benefiting the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The NFL had the confidence in Cheryl’s event planning and production ability to welcome her  into Super Bowl weekend and present her the opportunity to create this event.  The concept was to honor former winning Super Bowl coaches.  In the two years that she produced this event for St. Jude, her honoree’ s were the late Hank Stram , former Head Coach for the Kansas City Chiefs and winner of Super Bowl IV, and the following year, she had the privilege to honor Miami Dolphins Hall of Fame coach, Don Shula, the winningest head coach in the history of the National Football League.  This was a special honor for Cheryl who was on the sidelines with Coach Shula for five years as a Miami Dolphins Cheerleader.

Night of Miracles

Prior to opening her company, Ocean 2 Ocean Productions Inc., Cheryl created a dinner event benefiting the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The event was aptly named “The Night of Miracles”, and was held for eight consecutive years raising over one million dollars for St. Jude.  Cheryl, along with her committee of dedicated volunteers built this event from the ground up, and, owing to Cheryl’s creativity and multiple contacts with both  sports and Hollywood celebrities, the Night of Miracles grew in scope and size each year.  In the fourth year of this event, Cheryl secured former Miami Dolphins Head Coach and current University of Pittsburgh Head Coach Dave Wannstedt and his wife Jan to serve as Honorary Chairpersons. Their involvement help move the event to a higher level, and by 2004 the Night of Miracles had become one of South Florida’s premier occasions. The dinner, which took place on the Dolphin’s practice field, made the Night of Miracles one of the most unique events in the area.
